When you complete our PM Essence questionnaire, we collect your responses to questions about your product management philosophy, experiences, and case studies. This includes:

  • Your answers to structured questions (Likert scales, multiple choice, open text)
  • Optional case study narratives you choose to share
  • Optional metadata (years of experience, company stage, industry, team size)

2. Consent Preferences

We collect your explicit consent choices regarding:

  • Whether your responses can be used in the Product HiveMind chat (consent_chat)
  • Whether your anonymized data can be used for analytics (consent_analytics)
  • The version of the privacy policy you accepted

3. Usage Data

We may automatically collect certain information when you use our platform, including:

  • IP addresses and browser information
  • Pages visited and time spent on pages
  • Chat interactions and queries (if you use the Product HiveMind chat)

How We Use Your Information

1. Product HiveMind Chat (with your consent)

If you consent to your responses being used in chat (consent_chat = true), we:

  • Generate embeddings from your responses using OpenAI's embedding models
  • Store these embeddings in our vector database for semantic search
  • Use your anonymized responses to power the collective intelligence chat feature
  • Combine your perspectives with other PMs' responses to provide diverse insights

Important: Your responses are anonymized and combined with others. Individual responses are not directly attributed to you in chat outputs.

2. Analytics (with your consent)

If you consent to analytics (consent_analytics = true), we may use anonymized, aggregated data to:

  • Understand trends in PM philosophies and practices
  • Improve our platform and services
  • Generate insights about the PM community

3. Platform Operations

We use your information to:

  • Process and store your questionnaire submissions
  • Generate AI-powered summaries of your PM Essence
  • Provide technical support and respond to your inquiries
  • Ensure platform security and prevent fraud

Data Storage and Security

We use Supabase (a secure, GDPR-compliant platform) to store your data. Our security measures include:

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted at rest and in transit
  • Row-Level Security (RLS): Database-level access controls ensure only authorized access
  • Secure APIs: All API communications use HTTPS
  • Access Controls: Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your data.

Children's Privacy

Product HiveMind is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please reach out via LinkedIn, and we will delete such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
